For more than 80 years now, the Studentenwerk Karlsruhe serves students of the universities in Karlsruhe and Pforzheim. According to our high-quality standards, we try to always comply with the students‘ expectations and wishes and therefore focus on students‘ needs. Every student is important to us: the student who is catered for in our refectories and cafeterias, the student who lives in our halls of residence, the student who applies for BAföG, the student who needs help in special situations, the parent student and the student who is interested in culture. Students support our work by paying a social contribution every semester. In return, they have influence on the Studentenwerk’s development through representation in the board. We aim at always coming up to the students‘ current expectations while combining economic efficiency and environmental friendliness. As a social service institution working across different locations, our target is to be actively involved in the successful development of student life.
